Who are we?
Moreton Bay Insulated Patios is an independent information and referral service. We are not a builder and do not carry out, contract or supervise building work. We publish guides on patio costs and approvals in Moreton Bay, and connect homeowners with licensed builders. We may receive a fee from builders for referrals — this doesn't cost you anything.
Check the builder
Before you sign anything, check the builder's licence on the QBCC licensee register and make sure the licence class covers the work. In Queensland, anyone contracting to do building work valued over $3,300 must hold a QBCC licence. Get a written contract and don't pay more than the legal maximum deposit (see the cost guide).
